Natural
Thermal Spas
Slovenia is rich in natural
thermal spas. With as many as 87 thermal springs, it is one of
the most blessed lands in this respect. The springs were first
discovered by local people, who adopted this form of treatment
as early as 1147. In addition to thermal spas, Slovenia also has
mineral springs to complement the natural thermal spas. Thermal
water is used for the rehabilitation of all types of injuries
and diseases, as well as for postoperative rehabilitation, while
natural-thermal spas are also used for recreational purposes.
You can choose from among 15 thermal mineral spas that also

of days on an agritourism farm, where you will be served natural,
home-made food? You can also enjoy the quieter pace of life in
the countryside, go for walks in the neighbourhood and, if
desired, help with farm work. Some ecologically oriented farms
are engaged in the production of safe, organic food. Ecotourism
is a particular form of alternative tourism stressing a close
linkage with nature. It includes travelling into unspoiled
nature and focuses on experiencing nature. Recently, we have
witnessed a rise in demand for hotels that are situated in
